Leading with Cultural Responsiveness

Course Description

As a leader, what it means to be culturally responsive and explore how cultural responsiveness can assist you in meeting your organizational goals such as improved employee engagement and productivity. We will explore and determine methods to assess the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives. We will seek to understand how insights into culture can enrich the workplace and lead to a more inclusive and effective environment.

Learning Objectives

• Develop an understanding of the foundational concepts of culturally relevant pedagogy and culturally responsive teaching and how they can relate to the educational workplace and workforce.

  • Develop a critical centering on dynamic community languages, valued practices, and teaching.

Summary of Course Completion Requirements

Complete five online asynchronous modules, inclusive of various lectures, readings/videos, activities and assessments. The final module concludes with a course review and comprehensive assessment.
