Dealing with Micro and Macroaggressions

Course Description

Leaders will define and identify microaggressions and their impact on students, clients, and other stakeholders. The class will examine how microaggressions are experienced and strategies for effective, inclusive responses. In addition, we will explore the effect of power differentials on the interpretation of racial microaggressions. We will also explore ways to reduce the prevalence of microaggressions and create environments where all individuals share a sense of belonging.

Summary of Course Completion Requirements

Complete five online asynchronous modules, inclusive of various lectures, readings/videos, activities and assessments. The final module concludes with a course review and comprehensive assessment.
