Educators' Role in Combating Racism

Should Educators Engage in Anti-Racist Leadership Today ? The CIHE hosts an intimate and interactive brown-bag discussion on the role of educators as leaders against racism. The discussion with Mark Gooden, professor and director of the Education Leadership program at Teacher’s College in New York City, begins at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16) in Wardlaw 310. Lowcountry Educator Institute - Part 2

The institute will provide teachers and administrators the tools to help encourage students and teachers to appreciate the rural world and tap into its vibrant resources, including particularly agricultural resources that support sustainability. Using place-based education as a foundation, the institute will help rural teachers better connect to their students, as well as other teachers, strengthening the capacity of the community in the process.
